FINISHED! Modern Jive Cartoon 2 / Facebook Dance Cartoon Project

Here's the finished pic. Definition has been added with biro (ball point pen), outlining the figures, including the facial features and some motion lines included to add a little fun. I decided to not go with the strong cast shadows I often include in these drawings and instead elected to hint at some of the reflection in the floor. (The background of the image has been cleaned up using the excellent and free program "Paint" that is available from www.filehippo.com).

Tango dancers stage 4, 5, 6 and 7!

Stage 4: Back with the Copic marker, blocking in red and grey

Stage 5: Now more marker, blue over the top, the direction of the line work is designed to add form to the shapes e.g. the skirt and right trouser leg. I've deliberately not defined a line between the 2 dancers so they appear to be one unit.

Stage 6: Facial features added with color pencils and some indication of shadow with light grey marker.

Finally some 6B pencil is used to darken the darks and the background in cleaned up on the computer to bring to life the finished pic!
